Dr. Teena Bohra is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and the Founder & Director of Sensations – The Pediatric Development Center, Bengaluru. She has been associated with Sensations since 2017 and brings extensive clinical experience and a strong academic background in occupational therapy and healthcare services.
She holds a Master of Occupational Therapy (Neurosciences) from Seth G.S. Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai, an MBA in Healthcare Services, and a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Government Medical College, Nagpur.
Her professional experience includes working as a Consultant Occupational Therapist at Turning Point, Bengaluru, and Daiva Foundation, as well as serving as Head of the Occupational Therapy Department at S.P.J. Sadhana School, Mumbai.
Dr. Teena works with children with a range of developmental, neurological and learning-related needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD and learning difficulties. Her areas of clinical practice include sensory integration, cognitive and play-based interventions, fine and gross motor development, handwriting training, attention and concentration, problem-solving, organization and planning, and activities of daily living.
Her broader occupational therapy experience includes clinical exposure to neonatology, developmental disabilities, neurology, psychiatry, orthopedics, oncology, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and prosthetic rehabilitation.
Her approach is child-centred and individualized. She assesses each child's strengths and areas of need, develops appropriate therapeutic goals and plans interventions aimed at improving participation, independence, confidence and everyday functioning. Her professional practice includes standardized assessment, treatment planning, documentation, ADL training, sensory-based interventions and parent guidance.
She also works closely with parents and teachers through counselling sessions and educational seminars covering areas such as sensory processing, visuoperception, fine and gross motor skills, and ADL/IADL skills.
Dr. Teena continues to develop her professional knowledge through participation in conferences, workshops and CME programmes related to sensory integration, childhood disabilities, cerebral palsy, autism, early intervention and rehabilitation. She is also a member of the All India Occupational Therapists Association (AIOTA).
Through her clinical experience, individualized approach and commitment to children and their families, Dr. Teena Bohra focuses on helping children develop greater independence, participation and confidence in everyday life.
Dr. Teena works with children with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, ADHD, learning disabilities and neurological conditions.
